Convenient operation, versatile, expandable: The MKC-710M comes with the largest titration user interface available in the market: The MCU-720M control unit of this model with its 8.4 inch LED touch panel offers an unique user experience and can serve as a common controller for up to four titrators of any type, be it additional MKC-710B coulometric or MKV-710B volumetric Karl Fischer moisture titrators or even AT-710B potentiometric titrators.
A new acceleration amplifier provides faster electrolysis with a maximum electrolytic speed of 2.6 mg H2O/min. This shortens the time required for pre-titrations and sample measurements considerably.
Increased workplace safety
With optional Bluetooth® adapters, there is no need for a cable connection between the control unit and the titrator. This offers substantial benefits in terms of safety as the main control unit can be located outside the hood when toxic samples have to be measured.
The MKC-710M is based on a new approach in terms of modularity. The core part of the system, the MCU-710M control unit, is a versatile, touch panel controlled titration work station which can control up to four KEM 710 titration units of any type. This saves space, time and money: If you need a system to perform volumetric Karl-Fischer moisture determinations or even potentiometric titrations in the future, you can easily upgrade your system without needing to invest money and waste valuable bench space for an additional display and spending time to get familiar with a new user interface.
Full GLP compliance
The MKC-710M offers comprehensive GLP functions which ensure that system performance checks are performed at regular intervals. Up to 100 records of system performance checks and Karl Fischer reagent factor determinations are stored in the MCU-710M control unit.
The MKC-710M is the perfect solution for laboratories, where more than one titration system is in use or where one or several titrators need to be located in a hood for safety reasons: The MCU-710M control unit of the MKC-710M titrator can control up to 4 titrators simultaneously. It can be equipped with a battery and a Bluetooth® adapter for wireless operation. Like this it is possible to operate the titrators comfortably even if they are located in a hood – which offers substantial benefits in terms of safety when toxic samples need to be measured.
Two different user levels let you easily define the operation permissions of each operator. An administrator (protected with password) has access to all functions whereas a normal operator can only perform burette operation, calibration, measurement, method number (sample file) change and reading of method.
The MKC-710M coulometric Karl Fischer Titrator can be equipped with a titration cell with a replaceable ceramic diaphragm. It is thus the ideal solution to measure dirty and sticky samples with a low water content as eg. oils.
The MKC-710M is ideally suited to measure samples which only release their water slowly or at elevated temperatures: It can remote control the ADP-611 evaporator and visualize the evaporation curve on the display and printout. This allows to define all the measuring parameters including the purge cycles and the temperature in the evaporator in one single method and simplifies method development.

To safely avoid contamination from atmospheric moisture the ADP-611 is equipped with a remote controlled motor driven magnetic bar to move the sample from the sample chamber into the oven.
The heating chamber is equipped with an electrically conductive transparent heater glass. This permits the sample condition to be monitored during the vaporization process.
The ADP-611 comes with two built-in desiccant tubes for the carrier gas. With an optional air pump, air instead of nitrogen can be used as carrier gas.

Direct contact with Karl Fischer Reagents should always be avoided. This automatic filling an emptying system for the titration cell (ordering number 98-433-0135) protects operators from direct contact with toxic reagents and vapors. The pump is built into the magnetic stirrer. The connecting cable for the stirrer is included in the standard delivery.
