The HFM-215N Heat Flux Meter is a compact and rugged instrument which masters any heat flux measuring task: It is suitable for all type of heat flux sensors, capable of performing continuous heat flux measurements collecting data of up to 16 sensors in parallel and offers advanced data handling features.

The HFM-215N can simultaneously collect data from up to 16 A type or 8 A/B type heat flux sensors.
Fully fledged data handling - easy communication
Measured data can be analysed directly on the big colour display of the instrument or be transmitted to any type of communication device. A built-in web server, FTP server and an e-mail transmitting system provide an easy communication regardless of where the HFM-215N is located.
Well equipped for continuous measurements
The internal memory of the HFM-215N can store the data collected by 8 sensors performing one measurement per second each during 55 hours. For automatic continuous measurements over longer periods of time, the instrument can easily be equipped with an SD card which enables it to continuously collect data during years.
Extensive application range
A wide range of different sensors covers almost every application. A rugged housing protected by rubber cushions guarantee safe operation even under difficult environmental conditions.
Thanks to a wide range of different heat flux sensors, the HFM-215 Heat Flux Meter can be used for numerous applications – ranging from heat flux measurements from living bodies, to heat flux measurements through soil in agriculture and through floors, roofs and walls in architecture. Special high heat flux sensors enable the HFM-215 to perform even continuous measurements on hot surfaces with a temperature of up 500 °C to ensure a safe operation of electric furnaces.
Furthermore, the HFM-215 can simultaneously perform heat flux and temperature measurements with up to 16 sensors and represent the data graphically on its 3.5 inch color LCD screen.
The HFM-215 is particularly suited for heat flux measurements and data logging over long periods of time: The instrument can be operated with an AC adapter and the data can be stored in the internal memory of the instrument and on an external storage medium (CF card Type II, SD card or USB memory ). Like this there is enough memory capacity to log data from one or several heat flux sensors during several years.
The HFM-215 is equipped with several interfaces which provide a seamless integration of the instrument into existing networks (Ethernet), serial data transmission over longer distances in electrically noisy environments (RS-485) or a simple connection to a personal computer (RS-232C and USB). The instrument features advanced communication skills: It is equipped with a web server, an e-mail transmitting system and FTP server and client functions.
